Construction of a CLSC (local community service centre)

In spring 2004, the MSSS announced the approval of the functional and technical program for the construction of a new CLSC in Akulivik, scheduled to begin in July 2005.

The contract for the 655 m² CLSC was awarded to Construction Gély Inc. in April 2005. Work was quickly set in motion to meet a tight schedule ending in late 2005. The project required extensive coordination given the many stakeholders from different fields (medical, dental, X-ray) involved in the construction.
